LIVING TESTAMENT is the final album Vaughn Benjamin recorded before he transitioned in Nov of 2019. In late Oct of 2019, he travelled to Grass Valley, California, recording this 11-track album at Ras Biblical’s studio, Trinity Farm, over a period of 2 days. Eleven masterful musicians contributed to these tracks, including Manuel “Go A Chant” Guerra, Denfield “Ras Pulse” Potter, Walker Pillow, Scott Lynwood Davis, Befekadu Assefa and Tuff Lion. Together, these musicians weaved together a powerful family of songs that tell a timeless and truly unique story, a masterpiece of roots reggae.
LIVING TESTAMENT includes the single ‘Who Will Go For Us’ which was released on Jan 6th 2024 with a video filmed on location in Ethiopia. The monumental album will be available on LP, CD & high-quality download on Feb 16th courtesy of Go A Chant, Trinity Farm, Before Zero Records & I-Roots Records.

Originally released in 2005 by I Grade Records, "Let Live" was a forward-thinking, progressive, and contemporary exploration produced by Tippy I and Vaughn Benjamin. This groundbreaking body of work, originally mixed and now remastered for the vinyl release by Tippy I, has an enduring appeal rooted in its forward-thinking compositions, including contributions from the downbeat production collective (M1 of dead prez, Vijay Iyer, Tippy I and Sol Messiah) on the title track "Let Live" and "Fighting for Her."
The album features instrumental contributions ranging from the rich and deep bass work of Kenyatta Itola to the textured guitar layers provided by Tuff Lion and Abijah Hicks. "Let Live" is a unique listening experience that transcends traditional genre limitations.
‘Let Live’ showcases a multitude of collaborations, such as the standout track "All About What You Do," featuring Pressure Busspipe and Massiya, with bass and guitar from Tippy I.

Glen Washington’s long lasting musical legacy continues to flourish with JAH CHILDREN, a roots and culture showcase ep with the celebrated roots and culture reggae sounds of the Zion I Kings.
Starting from the mid-1970s, Glen Washington’s singing and drumming have been mainstays in reggae dance halls and on stage shows worldwide. In 2012, Zion High Productions paired the Jamaican born and Florida-based singer with the Zion I Kings on MASTERPIECE to great critical acclaim. JAH CHILDREN is further evidence that working with producer/ engineer JAH David Goldfine over many years brings out the best in the singer’s songwriting and vocal performances.
On the four songs with matching dub mixes, the Zion I Kings are joined by a stellar array of reggae’s top musicians. Included are drums by Roberto Sanchez, Winston “Horseman” Williams, and Lincoln “Style” Scott, saxophones by Donald “JAH Bless” Toney and Garrett Kobsef, trombone by Balboa Becker, trumpet by Okiel Mcintyre, flute by Zoe Brown, and percussions by Scully Sims and Norman Grant. Russ “Tuff Lion” Williams does the lead guitar on “No Limit” and Chet Samuels is a featured vocalist on the title track.

Kings Bell, first made available to the world on CD and digital on November 1, 2011, is now being released on a 12” vinyl courtesy of Before Zero Records. This LP joined the best of St Croix with the best of Jamaica: an amazing lineup of players spearheaded by the venerable Jamaican production maestro Andrew “Bassie” Campbell. The result of this collaboration is Kings Bell – a modern roots masterpiece. As Vaughn Benjamin’s first-ever full-length collaboration with a Jamaican producer, Kings Bell was a historic release and features some of the greatest musicians the genre has ever seen including Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Earl "Chinna" Smith, Squidley Cole, Mikey “Boo” Richards and Sticky Thompson.
The driving musical force behind the album, producer and bassist Andrew "Bassie" Campbell has crafted beautiful rhythms that truly compliment the deep lyrics of Vaughn Benjamin. The power and authenticity of Andrew Bassie’s productions stand out from the mass of slickly-produced modern roots coming out of Jamaica today. Earl 16’s career now spans five decades and is marked by hits and highlights throughout. HIs Jamaican recordings from the cornerstone studios (Studio One, Black Ark, Channel One) are still sought after gems from the golden age. But, unlike many of his peers, Earl 16 successfully adopted the changing sounds and styles of reggae in the U.K.(where he resides) and collaborated with top producers like Mad Professor and Nick Mannaseh. On this album, his playing is complemented by Aston Barrett Jr. ("By Day", "Only Now") and Kirk Bennett ( "Kagm Mystory", "Mek A Menshun"). The signature stylings of the other core ZIK musicians are augmented by horns (Andrew "Drew Keys" Stoch -trombone, Donald "Jahbless" Toney -saxophone), flute- Sheldon "Attiba" Bernard, kette- Andrew "Bassie" Campbell, and the guitar of Chet Samuel. ZIK guitarist Andrew "Moon" Bain contributes a string arrangement on "Only Now". Throughout the album, Laurent "Tippy I" Alfred's spot-on organ shuffle bubbles the rhythm forward. Beauty For Ashes was not only a contender for the best reggae album of 2014, it was the most popular, most played, and most purchased reggae album of the year according to iTunes. A monumental achievement for undiluted, uncompromising RasTafari roots reggae music this side of the millennium. Two of the LP’s tracks, Weather the Storm and Same I Ah One, have been catapulted into global notoriety in part due to the viral success of the YouTube video of the ‘Dub in the Rainforest’ session organised in St. Croix by Tippy I in 2014. The video offered an unparalleled audio visual insight of the powerful, captivating, energy of Vaughn Benjamin, Pressure Buss Pipe, Ras Batch, and many of the bredrin and sisterin of St. Croix rallying around the I Grade Dub living dub experience.

His prolific output coupled with his uniquely rich, deep, multilayered songwriting and uncompromising devotion to RasTafari has earned him a place amongst the reggae legends.

Portals, originally released on CD and Digital in 2016, garnered critical acclaim and held position in the billboard charts top 10 for 2 weeks. Produced collaboratively between Zion I Kings and Vaughn Benjamin (Akae Beka), who co-produced & arranged 5 of the 13 songs himself, alongside the ZIK players in St. Croix's Aqua Sounds Studio. The album's sound continues a trajectory of textural, guitar-driven roots reggae that Zion I Kings and Padraic Coursey first explored on the track "Weather the Storm" on 2014's Beauty for Ashes.
